This for only an outright broken bumper or the issue where the bumper registers multiple inputs on press?

This is for when the bumper is taking multiple presses to register an input. It is usually caused by that plastic piece existence dented/plain-featured

They extended the warranty from Microsoft I would just bulletin them and switch it out

When my serial 1 RB LB bankrupt I reassigned them to the paddles underneath. Now I tin can't play any other manner.

I've tried that but I don't have very adept coordination so striking one paddle on the back is a struggle lol. If I didn't take other buttons mapped dorsum there I would be in ameliorate shape though

I wish I had replacements of these so desperately... Simply can't find the perfect fit. The og plastic has this bounce to it. I straight upwards lost ane of mine while pulling the controller apart previously. So annoying

If Microsoft would only sell these pieces of plastic if buy dozens lol

I tried a similar fix with mine. It held out for quite a while then eventually that piece of plastic dented the same and it wasn't registering push presses anymore. I tried several pieces of plastic and other materials every bit a replacement and none seemed to work. I wish I could just go a whole bunch of those from Microsoft.
Unfortunately I take just retired mine because I received the same response from Microsoft about bumper repair.

Possibly attempt wrapping a very thin piece of scotch tape around the heart part of the plastic piece. I'm thinking of trying that the see if improves life expectancy of the piece

Thanks. I had that happen to my beginning series ii. Luckily I was smart enough to buy the extended warranty at gamestop for it, and then got a new one.

Microsoft warranty still covers this controller but for some reason their site says they aren't processing repair orders on bumper issues

I just sent mine back after getting another new controller and realising how bad mine was, warranty was nigh to expire on 5th december, worth sending information technology back they don't normally have too long

I was going to try simply their website says they aren't repairing this detail issue so even with warranty I'm out of luck

If your having bug send it dorsum to MS. They extended the warranty but it will run out eventually.

I tried to create a repair order on their site but it said they won't go along the repair order for that particular issue and they don't have telephone call support for it either unfortunately

Seems the Elite two is having the same QC issues the first Aristocracy did

I've tried doing this a few times but it starts failing every few days. I've since decided to use the Elite 2 without the faceplate so I can arrange that plastic scrap as and when it fails.
